Reading Skinny Bitch right now by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin. This book fell into my lap when my mother's employee lent it to her, which then my father proceeded to read deeply into. I found this book and purchased my own. I will have to say I will not "shut the fuck up, look at an inspirational picture of a skinny bitch, and clean out [my] freezer" I have to say, I will drink coffee less because it has been my life juice for almost a decade, less meat (being a college student shouldn't make that too hard), and drink less milk. All of these listed absurdities which you may find asinine, which I agree sound preposterous, will make sense when reading. Of course, with my skepticism I will not take much of what they say to heart and my new promises I assure you will last a month at most. Though I find myself only in the fifth chapter, I can make my assumptions. I do enjoy the book for its comical and crude humor.
Though I read this for the fun of the task, I found that many people have gone completely vegan after reading. I have to say the most amusing line thus far is this fun fact "We are the only species on the planet that drinks milk as adults. We are also the only species on the planet that drinks the milk of another species" An interesting way to look at things huh.
As my boyfriend (yes still same one as the last post) pointed out, men don't need a LEAN BASTARD BOOK. Though maybe some should, men do not care about their bodies to the extent of reading about a life altering system. We as women will change their life completely for not only themselves but for others, and gasp, MEN! We do need this aggressive attitude in Skinny Bitch, but not along the lines to be a bitch to others, or to become a crazy vegan, but to be damn strong and passionate. We do not need to care what others think, but at the same time not become a bitch. If only there weren't so many stipulations right. I have to say I learned a ton from this book, and a shit more from the diction alone.
So pick up the book whether you are a skinny or fat bitch and enjoy. If you can handle romance novels ladies (which I do enjoy laughing at) you'll get quite a kick out of this one!
